Are there simple tracking systems available to alert the caregiver that the care person is leaving the house?

I went to Lowe"s and bought an alarm that goes on the door when you open it it will chime or alarm because my dad always tried to get out at night. there are also bed alarms you can get. i also got a baby monitor so that I can hear him at night.
