My mom is at her last stage of dementia & is starting to be aggressive. I have a question about hospice because i am not too familiar w/ dementia or heard too much until my mom. i research on the web, but i don't know what to believe. My mom is really young(only 60) and has a rare , fast progressing ,form of dementia. Is hospice a form of treatment used for dementia patients? Can anyone recommend it for their loved ones? Or it has to come from the doctors? She no longer can speak, except gibberish, can barely walk with assistance & is starting to have difficulties swallowing.

I would contact hospice. I think you'll find them so helpful. Big hugs coming your way. It is a hard walk you are walking right now.
