My in-law is ill and doesn't want help from her son. What can I do?

Maybe she's very angry and sorry herself about her conditions right now....just wait and let's her do whatever she wants, I mean if she got help from her friend... Her friend might tells you what's going on about your in-laws

My husband just spent four days with her un hospital she has hep c and alcoholic liver damage and heart failure. She basically checked herself out of hospital. We wanted to.clean.her house buy groceries etc and she refuses. Says her frends will.do it. We have two small children and want her to see them grow up. But she just doesnt seem to care....

How old is your mother in law? What kind of illness does she have? How long has she had it? Is it getting worse? Is she under a doctor's care? Does she live alone? Are other people helping her? What kind of relationship has she had with her son before the illness?
