My father contracted it about 1944 and lived until 2003. Never give up. EXERCISE is hugely important to longevity and counteracting the impacts of Parkinson's.
you won't get this answer perfectly...my friends father is suffering from Parkinson's disease from last 10 years..and one more patient i have seen who is having this disease from 15 years..they are just surviving on tablets mostly...!!1
In one study, the average length of having Parkinson's was 16 years, and the average age of death was 81.
But your mother is not "average" -- she is a unique individual with her own assortments of impairments and strengths. I understand the desire to know what is "typical" or "average." But it really doesn't tell us anything about an individual case.
Discussing Mom's prognosis with the specialist who treats her Parkinson's may give you more information. But even doctors cannot make exact predictions about length of life.
