Can I get paid for taking care of my mother-in-law at home?

It is charity, a rich couple donates by quarters. I read somewhere on here.

If she signs a caregiver contract with you and pays you, you can. There may be some other funds but they are not living wages. Who told you that an agency is going to pay you? We hear this question so often, that I wonder who is telling people this.
