I have recently become ill and am attempting to navigate basic life services to put in place for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately I need to do this on my own volition. I am presently seeking a part-time health care provider in Broward County Florida that is also computer literate. None of the home health care agencies that I have contacted by phone can locate a home health care provider that has the ability to act as an aide in addition to helping me organize my past and present medical, business and personal files. In addition to utilizing a computer to research HHA , grocery stores that deliver food, research doctors, skilled nursing facilities pharmacies, transportation services etc. My primary physician and specialists have no suggestions that I have reached out to. Do you have any suggestions of where I might locate or search for an individual with these additional computer skills? I have never been computer literate and my illness prevents me from utilizing or learning to type or research on a computer. I also suffer from emphysema and chronic laryngitis and I am unable to to type utilizing a dictation devise on an IPhone. I do not have family and or an individual to help me with either caregiving or to perform many of the basic functions of life. The SSA granted my application for SSDI Medicare for the disabled under the age of 65. However I was advised by the SSA that I will never be eligible for Medicaid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Torts.

Best wishes to you. Let us know your progress!
About Medicaid: maybe there is a particular Medicaid program that has caps of earning for previous years. Regular Medicaid does not. SSA does NOT administer Medicaid and has no say in who qualifies.
amount of monies to qualify for Medicaid. Pursuant to your advise I will start over with the SSA to determine if I can qualify for Medicare and Medicaid.
Thanks again and God Bless.

To your question...call your County Office of Aging and see if they have volunteers. Call your high school and see if there is a student group that requires community service for the students to belong. Maybe one of the students would be glad to help. Ask ur O of A about an aide. Have Medicaid come in and evaluate you for an aide. While talking to them ask about being told you can get medicaid. If on Medicare, Medicaid will become a supplemental.
