He suffers from strokes and dementia. He is getting beyond doing anything for himself. I have to work to provide for myself. Is there any assistance available to provide care giving in home?
If he qualifies for medicaid, he may be able to get the TennCare Choices in which the state/county pays for in-home services. Here's a link for your state.
Medicare not until you are 65. Medicaid? There are qualifiers. Call them or check their website.
Contact Area Agency on Aging for resources. Contact Department of Human Services in your county. Was dad a veteran? There may be VA benefits available. Check their website.

If he doesn't qualify, you may need to spend his funds on private care until he qualifies. Good luck
