I am on extra care on my Medicare. I recently received two deposits from the government for 600. Now I am over the amount to receive EC.

I would think this works just like people on Medicaid. Its nontaxable and does not effect their cap. It has to be used within the year of receipt. So I would not worry about it. But if ur single, I would question why u received 2 $600 amounts.

I, too, rec'd a $600 payment for my deceased wife of 3 years. I'm waiting to see how the 2020 1040 form will handle it.
