Your mother may be on her SS but does she have no other savings or assets? If not, you can also contact social services for her county to see if there are any programs that may help (but it probably won't be 100%).
You don't say how old your mother is, or if she will continue to be able to stay living independently in her home. And by independently, I mean also financially independently. If she now requires financial help in order to keep up her home, this is not a sustainable strategy, since there will always be things to fix in a home. This may be an opportunity for you "temporarily" move her to AL while her home is fumigated. Then it can be sold (because it cannot be rented or sold in its current condition). Just a thought that this a discussion to be had with her maybe sooner than later.
Call your council on aging for some advice. This is basically fumigators and it is quite expensive. If the home is infested all furniture, rugs, baseboards, and etc are likely as well. She may have to move out while house is treated. This is a really difficult infestation to treat and I sure wish you good luck.
