My mom is 86, has dementia and is in the nursing home. She is getting frisky with a couple of the younger workers there. Is this normal with dementia?

Caregivers who work with dementia patients have seen it all and are almost always very adept at handling problems.
Do discuss your issues with administation if you have questions about you dear mom.

Wherever I searched for answers to this question online, meds were recommended so please discuss this with her doctor.

As others have suggested, also have a discussion with the facility admins for their recommendations as well.

Hi Rose, yes it can happen. From what I’ve read and seen, it depends on what part of the brain is affected. Sometimes dementia causes a loss of inhibitions. I’m sorry you are dealing with seeing this in your mom, it’s hard to watch for sure❤️
