From the OP's profile:

"I have been caring for my mother for the last 25 years.
I cook for her dits vacuum and light housekeeping. She is getting to the point she shouldn’t shower alone. I fear of her falling. I will be out of town for 17 days starting May 1
And would like to have someone come in three times or more. I guess I need to know if her insurance will cover. She worked for the state has BCBS and Medicare."

Does she get a pension? Does she have no income?

No Medicare will not pay for it. Medicare is a health insurance. Any caregiving they do is temporary like rehab, inhome ordered by Dr. and intermittant care, which u may want to look into but not for this purpose.

I think Mom needs someone to come in 3x or more if ur afraid of her falling. I would see if a local Assisted Living could do Respite care. No, it won't be cheap but you will know Mom is safe. You use her money. I assume she gets a pension if she worked for the State.

No, Medicare does not cover visiting angels. I don't know what the insurance Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy says, but they have varying policies, so do contact the insurance company. Because an agency is involved the cost of Visiting Angels is more usually than care provided by insurance companies. You may also want to ask Visiting Angels itself. I found them very responsive to my questions when I spoke to them some years ago.
